Myopia onset and progression can occur between the ages of 4 to 16 years. Many treatment options are now available – glasses, contact lens and atropine eye drops.
The aim of this study is to:
Monitor the myopia progression of children on different treatment modalities so as to refine myopia treatment protocols
Identify changes in the myopic eye over time to see if there are factors which may predict myopia progression, response to treatment or future risk of myopic complications
Any child attending the Myopia Centre (located at SNEC Eye Clinic @ Bedok) may participate. All children all receive a comprehensive eye examination.
