Glaucoma - Symptoms

What are the symptoms of glaucoma?

  • Blurred or hazy vision
  • Loss of peripheral vision
  • Haloes around lights
  • Eye pain or discomfort
  • Redness in the eyes
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Sudden visual disturbance
  • Severe headache

When should you see a doctor?

Seek immediate help at the emergency room or call an eye doctor's (ophthalmologist's) office immediately if you experience symptoms that come on suddenly, such as acute angle-closure glaucoma.
