Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) continues to work towards transforming education to improve organizational capability and is keen to collaborate with other organizations to advance workplace learning through digitization. SNEC has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Adult Learning (IAL) to enable effective digital learning for staff. The IAL has developed a digital education framework and launched a digital learning blueprint in August 2022 to promote training and adult education for local enterprises. In the event, the MOU signing happened along with Microsoft and SNEC with IAL. SNEC and IAL will work on developing, designing, and delivering continuing professional development programs to enhance workforce capability and instructional effectiveness in the eye care and adult education sectors. SNEC is excited to partner with IAL in co-creating digital badges, reviewing digitized training content, and making meaningful curriculum improvements that meet industry standards. The partnership also aims to co-develop workplace learning capabilities by building critical knowledge components and skillsets for our healthcare professionals.
About the Institute of Adult Learning (IAL)
Governed by an independent council, IAL has become an autonomous institute of the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) since 2019 to further strengthen the quality of the CET landscape through synergistic collaborations and shared expertise in program development, research and industry practice.
