Profile

Dr Samantha Yeo is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, UK (MRCOG) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). She graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, obtained her Master of Medicine (M Med O&G), and thereafter her specialist accreditation from the Singapore Medical Council.

As an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Dr Yeo’s interests lie in preconception health, fertility education and holistic pregnancy care. Surgically, Dr Yeo is an accredited laparoscopic surgeon, with expertise in minimally invasive fertility preserving surgery, including keyhole, hysteroscopic and complex pelvic surgery. Over the course of her career, Dr Yeo has delivered thousands of babies, and is well versed in instrumental and complicated caesarean deliveries. She is committed to collaborative care to improve scar aesthetics. Dr Yeo has also published and presented her research on pregnancy and complicated surgeries at international platforms- namely, conferences in Paris, London, Australia, and Taiwan.

Dr Yeo has been the clinical lead for Sengkang General Hospital’s satellite Obstetrics & Gynaecology department since 2020, and was key in safely re-establishing accessible obstetrics care for residents in the North-East region of Singapore.

Dr Yeo strongly believes in empowered women’s health, and is a regular panelist and speaker at multidisciplinary public forums. At the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr Yeo co-founded the NewMums #SgUnited community support group with Member of Parliament Ms Tin Pei Lin. Dr Yeo is also passionate about breastfeeding awareness and research, and advocates for single mothers, teenage mothers, and postnatal mental wellness.

Dr Yeo remains active in pre- and post-graduate medical education, as a lecturer and examiner at the Lee Kong Chian (LKC) and Yong Loo Lin Schools of Medicine, and a physician faculty member of the Singhealth Obstetrics & Gynaecology Residency Programme. She is clinical mentor to medical students from all three medical schools in Singapore. She was previously the secretary of the Singhealth Resident’s Committee from 2013 – 2015.

As a mother of three, Dr Yeo truly appreciates the trials and tribulations of pregnancy and parenthood. She strives to make every patient’s journey enjoyable, during the reproductive years and beyond.
