Profile

Dr Loh Kai-Lyn is a Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre. She graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS-YLLSOM), with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2010. She then became part of the pioneering batch of the ACGME-I (American Council of Graduate Medical Education – International) accredited SingHealth Ophthalmology Residency Programme, during which she was appointed Chief Registrar. She obtained her Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) and successfully concluded her specialist training in 2016. 
 
Her research interests include myopia research, specifically in the prevention of myopia progression in children. She has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. She has presented at both local and international conferences and has won the Young Ophthalmologist Award for Best Platform Presentation at the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and SNEC Joint Meeting. 
 
Dr Loh also has a strong interest in medical education and has attended various courses, including the Leading Innovations in Health Care and Education course in the Harvard Macy Institute. She currently holds the position of Clinical Faculty at the NUS-YLLSOM as well as faculty membership of the Eye Academic Clinical Programme at Duke-NUS.
 
Dr Loh is committed to the empowerment of her patients through education and careful clinical guidance. She believes in providing the best patient care through her roles as a clinician, researcher and educator.
