Profile
Dr Tan is an Associate Consultant with the Cataract and Comprehensive Ophthalmology Department at Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). He is currently sub-specialising in the field of refractive surgery.
Dr Tan graduated from Newcastle University, United Kingdom, with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2010 and went on to pursue Ophthalmology training in SNEC. He obtained his Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2018 and his Ophthalmology Specialist accreditation in 2020. During his residency training, he served as the Lead Resident (2018-2019) and a member of the Infection Control team. He also completed the SingHealth Residency Leadership Programme to enhance his team leadership skills. Dr Tan is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education as well as voluntary community eye screening projects.
