Profile

Dr Lim achieved First Class Honours in Bioengineering from National University of Singapore in 2008, before obtaining her Medical Degree from the Duke-NUS Medical School in 2013. She pursued Ophthalmology residency training in Singapore and attained her post-graduate Ophthalmology qualifications in 2020. She received her specialist accreditation in 2022 and was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in UK in the same year. She is also a member of the College of Ophthalmologists, Singapore as well as the International Strabismological Association.

In addition to her clinical work, she has actively contributed to research works in engineering and medicine, ranging from soft tissue regeneration using RNA interference technology, oncology genetics to congenital glaucoma genetics, epidemiology and genome wide studies.

Outside work, she participates in eye screening programs for nursing homes and for the public. She also serves as an alumni advisor for Duke-NUS Student Interest Group in Ophthalmology and Duke NUS E-learning platform committee, where she is actively involved in contributing to education for medical students.
