"As a Pharmacist working at National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), I work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care. Part of my daily work involves reviewing and optimising medications for the treatment and safety of my patients. This is done through outpatient medication supply, managing ambulatory clinics and providing specialised drug monitoring.
I enjoy my job because caring for and interacting with patients bring me immense satisfaction. The wealth of medical information out there allows me to translate it to clinical care and cater to the individualised needs of my patients.
On multiple occasions, I find myself glad to be in this profession because of the trust patients have invested in me, from getting me to help them with their medications to even just popping by the pharmacy to say "Hi!"."
